Nestled in the hills of Old Agoura, Stage Door occupies one of the oldest commercial buildings in the area.

Built in 1920, the structure originally provided the area with its only market, gas station and public telephone.

Stage Door Theatre was founded in November of 1980, and has continually provided the finest live theatre possible until the final performance of FORTY CARATS, on September 13, 2008, when the theatre's doors closed for the final time. From Neil Simon comedies to Agatha Christie mysteries to Jack Sharkey farces, Stage Door Theatre has enjoyed a reputation of offering top quality performances of superb scripts, and all at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the current owner of the building has refused to allow the Stage Door Theatre to continue.  We thank you for the past support.
